| Constipation and its reversal |

Main causes are inefficient or absent microorganisms in the colon and always a kind of a hepatic problem. Diseases such as hypothyroidism, irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal obstruction, multiple sclerosis may also be a perpetrator for constipation. Inadequate intake of healthful foods such as fruit, veggies and other roughage may also contribute to constipation, yet the full impact this has remains unproven.
If microorganisms are lacking in the colon, especially the lactobacillic bacteria or the lactic acid, normal breakdown of feces is interrupted and digestive problems inherently occur. Supplementation with acidophilus can aid the situation.
Concerns with constipation almost always are related to liver dysfunction. If sufficient and healthy bile salts are manufactured and present in the GI tract, a normal laxative effect is the result.
Bile salts are produced in the liver, therefore to reverse the condition of constipation, the liver’s production of bile salts must be recovered. Additionally, acidophilus and lactobacilli remedies should be administered in order to produce ‘good’ bacteria in the colon again. Yogurt, kwass, sauerkraut also aids the GI tract in building up necessary microorganisms again.
Constipation could affect a person’s emotional status, it could lead to irritability, apathy or self-centeredness. Constipated people may have a problem with ‘letting go’ of problems, they may cling on to old issues.
